that's the problem. the ADs and administration are satisfied with where they are at.

All any school wants is to be in a conference with its peers. I think the ULL fanbase sees Tech, USM, UNT, Rice etc as its peers, not Georgia Southern, Texas State, the Pittsburgh State Gorillas, or whomever else Karl Benson drags into that hell hole of a conference.

I'm pissed that the administration is lazy and will seemingly always be a good ole boy network. There's no excuse for us to not try and say its because of market when La Tech got in. We have competitive football, basketball, and baseball. The Cajundome is a great venue for college basketball. We have an indoor practice facility. We have RCAF; we pay Hud more than $800,000. There's oil money everywhere. We were supposed to have a master plan released a month ago but of course they pushed that back until January or February.

If we were aggressive, I bet we would be on the short list. Instead, Farmer probably just calls and then immediately hangs up.

Another thing, this morning 103.7 (new station) had on Hud and Karl Benson. 1420 was talking about pancakes at Lucky Deuces for like 2 hours then went on to NFL concussions. No mention of this at all.

I was a GA at LSU when JB was there...when they went after him I went Huuuuuuhhhhhh?? And ULL has the fanbase to support them, they've ALWAYS had it!! But RA attitude was always you come out and spend money and then we'll give you something you can support. Contrary to the beliefs of every other AD in America.

Your right. MA and Coach have held ULL hostage for eeevvvvveeerrrrr. Still do.

Well the landscape of college football have changed from regional conferences to which conference has the most opportunity to cash in.

The people on 1420 don't want any sort of change, because if more money starts coming in to the program and more eyes are on the ULL's athletic dept, more people will realize how substandard their flagship radio station is and start looking to replace things.

More money comes with higher standards, and there are too many people around the program that are afraid that higher standards means they're out of a job.

1420 can't be critical because they're BFF with the administration. I hope Hud rips the admin to shreds. They can't fire him or people will literally revolt.

It is a pretty big difference

NO school has ever dropped down from 1A to 1AA, you want ULL to be the first?

I am just an outsider, but what I do hear is basically the same thing. ULL's administration is the problem. Radio staions should have no input on this stuff, just an opinion.

Charles Hannagriff hasn't had any problems with the eagle. Jay is the only personality that talks Cajuns the majority of the time and all he does is sunshine pumps. His delusion is downright scary. The other personalities bitch about the Astros, Saints, or high school football. Their live contributor is the manager at Crazy Bout crawfish in Breaux Bridge....cuz I tuned in to find out their daily specials.

1420 as a sports radio station is shite. I think the only 2 that are really worth anything is maybe Kevin Foot. But he's mainly saints and high school football. The rest of them...I really don't know how they are on the radio.

Jay posts on raginpagin. The only thing he's commented on today has been about the beach boys playing the New Orleans bowl. He posted a retarded arse blog about how the Sun belt needs to worry about the basketball side of things. That was it.

HENDO: it's been 2 whole days since Tulane/ECU announcement. Be patient. I think UL would be a natural fit to replace TuLame. I think USA would be dumb not to extend invite to y'all.
As for HornDog & the other 2 ULM bandwagon trolls on here, I don't know what Tech has to do with this? Why so butt hurt all the time?

Walker is a major part of the problem. What an old, creepy, put of touch goober. The wedding DJ of college athletics.

You haven't been paying attention have you? MTSU and FAU are gone. WKU is rumored to be next. We're not even being talked about. I've asked around to people "in the know" the consensus is that Farmer made one call and that was that. Couldn't even get CUSA to visit.

Yes I have.....who's to say that USA doesn't deliver SBC a death nail by inviting ASU & UL as well?

A lot has changed for CUSA since then. The contingent that always wanted to keep ULL out: Tulane/USM has lost their stroke with the conference.

Hud was upset that ULL's Admin were blindsided. I dont think they were blindsided at all, I think they knew what was coming and they are powerless to do anything about it.
