Posted in IST this morning, but thought it needed its own thread. Killed in Illinois with a 20 ga slug. Don't know much else, but holy shite

Just what the text said. Probably shot with the rifle and finished if off with 20 ga. Like I said all I got was a picture and that don't shoot the messenger!

There are bolt action shotgun for slugs. I know browning makes some.

short barreled 410, bolt action 20 ga., with rifled barrel, scoped, since illynoice is archery, black powder and shotgun only...

Lot of the midwest allows shotguns. My cousin just got back from Illinois and they were hunting with slugs.

On a similar note, my wife's brother sold his grandfathers Mauser actioned 12ga that he took off a dead German soldier in WWII. Sold it for about 75 bucks.
