Dickson St. is where you want to be Friday night for best bars etc.

My favorites on/around Dickson:

Food:

Doe's on Dickson: There used to be one in Lafayette and BR? Anyways, huge steaks, tamales, shrimp etc. Cool atmosphere and hot waitresses

Bordinos: a little more upscale, good food though, cool bar lounge area

Hugo's: nearby on the downtown square, cool place under ground, great food, burgers etc.

Grubs: college bar and food, cheap drinks good times. Sorostitutes etc.

Farrels: more upscale sports bar with very good food and great TV setup etc.

US Pizza on Dickson/Tims Pizza on Square: both are good with full bars

Powerhouse Seafood: decent food, yall will probably be snobby with seafood compared to down there though and I don't blame you

Theos: good for slightly older crowd, nice lounge etc. A lot of folks in there late 20's early 30's

Bars

Brewskis: 100+ beers on tap, cool place

Z-Bar: will be packed with Fraties and Sorostitutes

21st Amendment: one of my favorite bars, especially if weather permits the rooftop to be open. Usually a little bit older crowd 25-35

West End: younger crowd, rooftop if weather permits

Kingfish: Bar, good patio if warm

Sideways: Bar, lots of beers and pooltables etc

Off Dickson Eateries worth visiting:

Hermans: steak/ribs

Mama Deans Soul Food

Catfish Hole: no booze though, be warned

Anyways, hope all that come enjoy, should be 100x's better than Little Rock

I am considering heading to the game as a last minute surprise to my kids...

Thanks for the info. Could you please advise what family oriented opportunities there are in the area ?

Coming in from Dallas, so I could head back to Dallas for the rest of the weekend and enjoy the remainder of the holiday ???

Any help is appreciated.

thanks

How old are the kids? I don't have kids so this is kind of tough.

Not a lot in Fayetteville, but Eureka Springs and Branson aren't too far away and offer much more for kids.

Bentoville has the Crystal Brides museum, but not really a kids thing either

They're 8 and 4, they would be happy with anything so I could stay in the area do something with them there on Saturday or drive back towards Dallas and do something fun for them there.

Also if you like breaking things, the bar Shotz on Dickson has ice shot glasses you get to throw. $3 SEC shots as well. It's fun to take all of the different 14 SEC shots in one night

You could drive up to Branson, takes about 2 hrs, tons of shows that the kids would enjoy and Silver Dollar City etc.

I'd say that's your best bet if you stay

True, also Tiger fans. Dickson street does not start getting rowdy until around 11-11:30pm. Then its full rage mode until the bars close.
