I don't think Drew is ever going to get the MVP award.

Hmmmmmm

Nope sounds nothing like anything Drew Brees has done in the past.

I agree, give it to Manning

I do think Drew needs to be in consideration, but I see people here discounting Manning, which is pretty dumb IMO. Manning has looked awesome, too. I'd give it to Drew because I'm biased as frick, but I don't get people downplaying Manning in the race.

as long as the media continues to slober all over brady's and Manning's Knobs, Brees will never get the award.

Drew is playing great right now but you can't give someone the MVP who appeared to be a shell of their former self for the first 4 games.

If we make the playoffs the way he's playing he'll deserve MVP, but most likely he won't even win an MVP if he hasn't already imo. He just won't ever get the hype of the other QBs

his team is 0-4 and they just got back to .500. I agree that if the saints run the table he should be a lock, but it is waaay too early for this discussion. I'd say win the next 3 and this becomes a legitimate discussion of IF but the bottom line is the saints have to win out.

Manning has been awesome.

No doubt, but the media will say the same thing about the Broncos and Manning. Unfortunately It's his to lose right now IMO.

yes...but they have an elite pass rush...we have...we have our defense...

we also don't have a head coach.I honestly think this may be Brees' best shot.

manning missed an entire year and was cut by his team.

AP's play this season has been nothing short of incredible but he didn't really go anywhere or get benched or miss time.

Its going to come down to numbers. If Brees has more yards, TDs, and less INTs than any of the other contenders, he will most likely win MVP if the saints make the playoffs. Saints MUST make the playoffs - hence his "value".

There should be a Best QB award and a MVP for the rest of the positions.
