Earls is one that doesn't get much recognition up here. I'm a big fan of their boudin and cracklin

Earls boudin and cracklin are very underrated, definitely don't get the recognition they deserve

I just tried Best Stop's andouille for the first time. It tasted like a cajun salami to me. Does anyone know what they use for casing?

I hope Lafayette can do better. In my opinion, the best andouille is Jacob's. A solid under the radar andouille is from Bergeron's in Port Allen.

Sales has great Cracklins ans Japeno Cheese Bread

Verons (the store in Laplace) has excellent Andouille and Tasso.

Billy's and Best Stop (both at the same exit) have excellent Boudin........ To me it's a toss up between the two.

My girlfriend, a coworker, his girlfriend and I went around the various places for boudin and tasted a bunch of them (they are not from here). Earl's and Nunu's were my favorite. Earl's is really underrated. I think they don't get a bunch of recognition since they aren't in the Boudin Cookoff.

NuNus for Boudin

Nothing in Laf I know of that will top Jacobs Tasso and Andouille.

Although I am a fan of Meche's in Opelousas.
