Maybe Warrick asked to be traded where he could pick up some minutes since he's an expirer

Warrick is at $4 mill this year, so it would save the team $500k.

We have a lot of depth in the frontcourt, just getting Guard depth. Guy was pretty good shooter, although I don't think he's played much in recent years.
Basically a move to have Guard depth in practice and save 500k.

Apparently he's an great teammate and locker room guy, so that might be the part of the reasoning for such a young team:
