One of my partners is trying to get me to play during this cold snap. My limit for cold is 50 degrees at morning tee off with an predicted warming of 60s by the time we finish the round at noon.

His limit is 35 at tee off and predicted 45 at noon.
What's yours?

I like yours better.

Preferably, I'd rather not play below 60. I'll play in the 50s. 40s is too cold.

Hitting off center shots in cold weather suuuuccckkss!!!

I've played when there was ice on some of the water hazards - nice to bounce shots off the ice.

OMG, that reminds me of batting practice at Centenary in Feb. Hit a fastball off the sweet spot in 40 degree temps sucks.

40s for tee off assuming its not a) wet or
b) extremely windy

wear thermals, insulated skull cap and sweater/windbreaker. thick socks and two gloves. also whiskey helps

And then you can smooth your sand wedge 195 yards.

In my younger days (many years ago ) I'd play with temps in the 40s with no wind.

As I got older the temp minimum increased.

If it's wet at all, 40 is my threshold. If it's dry, anything goes up until the point where I get hypothermia

When I lived in Mississippi buddy and I went to play the Pearl Municipal course one morning when it was like 27 degrees. Got to one hole on back where you had to hit over a pond to an island green. He skipped his across the ice on top of the pond

Oh, yes there is. I was at a conference in Nashville, Tenn. back in the 80s when the worst ice storm ever to hit Tenn occurred. I was stuck in my hotel for 4 days. Temps got down to 17 below zero.
