I would rate Justified, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The League, Louie, Archer, Damages, The Shield, Rescue Me, Terriers, and Nip/Tuck ahead of SoA just on FX alone.
I watch ASP, The League, Wilfred, etc... All the comedies, but I don't see how you can rank them against dramas
Completely different beasts.

Problem being it dances close enough to being something bigger than "just entertainment" that it can at times be frustrating.

In all honesty, even on it's own network it is not the best all-time drama(The Shield) or current drama (Justified). SoA has had it's share of good moments but the writing has been real thin at times (read Season 3 and most of Season 4).
I loved Season 1 and enjoyed 2 until the last episode. I quit watching part of the way through Season 3.
I watched this past week and enjoyed it. May start up again.

The Ireland season just seemed like it was too forced to hit the target demographics love of Ireland. It could've been 2 episodes and still got 90% of the story advancement. One of the spots they really needed to tighten up.
