Antonio Gates ROS and possible trade help

Can Gates be trusted moving forward? I have he and Gronkowski. My RBs are falling apart and I'm down to Lynch, MJD,, McFadden and R Jennings (who I'm giving up on).
What I'm asking is should I trade Gronkowski for a RB and if so who is in his value straight up? Gronkowski has been so consistent I hate to give him up.

Don't do it. As you said, Gronk has been so consistent. DMC is coming back next week, yes Lynch is on bye, but MJD should be back in the next week or 2. Giving up Gronk for, let's say McCoy, really doesn't gain you anything right now. Gronk is good for 12-24pts nearly every game. Try and trade the leaders of your league or someone solid at RB, MJD for the playoffs. He should still have enough value to get you a solid RB. Don't trade Gronk, IMO.

Maybe I should've put "likely" in front of my comments about DMC. It's now being reported that he'll be back. Probably won't have a great game though. My main point to the OP was to not trade Gronk for a RB, especially with Gates as back up. He's had 1 great week and 2 decent weeks. The rest were terrible. You know what you're getting with Gronk. I think the better deal is to trade MJD for a solid RB. Whoever that is + Gronk is going to outscore Gates + whoever he'd get for Gronk (Unless it's Foster which would never happen. Gronk + MJD might though???) on a consistent basis.
