The need for a big tall WR is more evident every game.

The score board looks good this morning, but whats happens if Miss State completes the pass instead of the Loston pickoff ?

Then get's the onside kick and score's again ?

It could happen one day.

Mett needs a huge target that can jump and get a ball in the Red Zone.

I need a gif of that little black kid in Angels in the Outfield. He said this all the time in that movie.

you have 6'4 Quantavious Leslie and 6'1 Avery Johnson for next year. LSU is also recruiting 6'5 Ricky Seals-Jones

We need to recruit a big, tall WR like it is its own position. The way that the game is played today, you have to have one of your top 3 WRs be a guy who can go up and get the ball in the Red Zone. Just like you need a FB or OT or FS, you need a tall WR, especially for the Red Zone - and we also need a pass catching TE.

How we got to this point is inexplicable, really. I am glad that the other guys are stepping up, but we need a Terrance Toliver or even a Rueben Randle (6-2) on the team.

I'm..not really seeing why a hypothetical defensive meltdown means we need a big receiver?

like, they don't really go together at all.

Put the alcohol down. We get W's. You play to win the game-- not look good while doing it.

The best defense is a great offense.

Times are a changing, time to get on board the offense train..

Bro, LSU put up 37 points last night. Has had their QB throw for over 500 yards the last two games combined.

This is the SEC, son. Thats pretty fricking good.

no doubt it would be nice to have a tall target in the corner of the end zone. This would help our red zone efficiency. Jump ball one on one in corner of end zone when QB throws to that spot very hard to defend, especially if they got to protect against a Full back like copeland running up the middle.

Can Desean Smith not help fill this void?

What if they had kicked a 90 yard field goal and the refs counted it as 30 points? Obviously this means we need a tall receiver.

I would think so. Dude is a matchup nightmare. Reminds me of LaDarius Green, that awesome tight end ULL had that's playing for the Chargers now.

Big, physical, but able to separate too. If he pans out he's going to be awesome.

We are definitely doing our best to get tall receivers. Quantavious Leslie is a 6'4" JUCO guy who can provide immediate help, DeSean Smith is a 6'4" TE who will help, and we are recruiting a 6'6" ATH in RSJ. It's obvious we wish we had one this year, but were trying to remedy that. Don't see the need for this thread b

If the above scenario had actually taken place, it sounds to me like we need to recruit a better defense as opposed to a lone tall WR.
