It took awhile for us to adjust to the new scheme, but I think things are developing nicely now. This is NOT the same offense Lee ran last year; Lee wasn't throwing ropes down the middle of the field like Mett has the past 2 games. I hope Hill gets healthy for the end of the season. I think he'll be in better football shape next year; he missed a whole season of real conditioning and is still suffering a bit due to that.

My own prediction here- by bowl time, LSU will be either even with Georgia, or maybe slightly ahead of the Dawgs, on offense. A&M might have the more productive/gimmicky offense, but Mett and Murray will lead the best pro-style legit offenses. We have better running games than UT and Arky (and far better defenses), and I just don't think McCarron at Bama has the arm to make the throws Mett and Murray can.

What's great about what we see the past two games- it can easily be continued into the future. It's a lot easier for us to find another Mett-type QB than it is for A&M to find another Manziel. And if we finish the season out playing like this, those Mett-like QBs will want to come play here!

Either that or an oline coach. Sounded to me last night that miles is doing most of the online coaching the past three weeks based on what ESPN explained last night. I just think the lights are finally coming on for the line, qb, and receivers. They have all gotten better as the year has progressed.

I was hoping someone would post this. Fans are too impatient. I really figured it would take Mett a bit to understand and control the offense. The more Mett can handle, the more plays Stud can add. Plus the receivers look more confident.

3 quarters of a season, to put in a different offense, with a new QB, with lots of injuries on the line, and only one WR with any experience returning? That's not awful. We had more of a scheme change this year than Bama had last year, yet Mett is now looking better than McCarron did late last season.

Look at the end of the 1st half- Miles set it up for our offense to have about the same time left, as the end of the Bama game. This time, Mett and the offense was ready for that, and looked good.

Took a while to learn to walk. Now, it's not taking nearly as long to learn to run

I'm sure it had nothing to do with having a new QB, new O-line starters, new starting receiver. It was always the play calling right? Lulz

If we keep this up the rest of the season and the bowl game No!! We have a balanced attack. Hopefully Miles will make keeping Many good qb's his top priority!!

What I don't like is it took 4 and 1/2 years to get a balanced offense.

As long as we are balanced like we are now, I don't care who the OC is.

Well they sure looked ready to put the game away on the second to last possession, only the coaches weren't. Right before half last night Mett showed what could have been against Bama with 2 minutes left only needing a first down or td to put game away.

Gotta give it to Les, he didn't overload Mett early in the season. He let Mett mature at a comfortable pace and it will pay dividends next year hopefully.

I am not sure why folks are in denial that we have been in a rebuilding season, but we have. You have a lot of young kids playing out there. Team chemistry on the field doesn't happen overnight. You have a new QB who while talented needed to adjust to playing in the SEC. He's doing that. We had to go through several OL changeups due to injuries. That line is finally coming together. I think we are building a damn strong foundation for a great season next year, and there are a lot of schools who would like to be in our shoes this year.

Last night I finally admitted to myself that this staff is coaching their arse off with 3 fresh on the o line and they are coaching these kids up not sure I ever saw a better freshman tackle/guard combo ever and I keep getting down on them when they mess up and then I say oh yea their freshman.
I'm glad I'm not the one making the decisions because from where I sit we have a damn good team that is playing 15 freshman
