No one mentions Willie Taggart.... Any chance at Kentucky

The assumption is that out of respect for WKU he won't leave for Kentucky or Louisville because of it being instate. He's more likely to go elsewhere.

I guess I'm not getting any love for Tim DeRuyter at UK. They won yesterday and are 8-3 with one game left. He's my #1 target, but I never hear his name mentioned except by me.

Come on...Ol Joe B is looking out for his son-in-law and daughter.

Mitch needs to go down to College Station and talk to the hot shot 33 year old OC. Kid has ties to UK and would be a perfect hire. Bring that offense with a kick arse DC, then UK will be just fine.

Petrino would never work the rubber chicken network....which IS BADLY needed right now. He is not going to go to the local Rotary meetings and slap backs and kiss babies like Cal does.

Kingsbury is from New Braunfels, TX and played at Texas Tech. What are his connections to Kentucky?

ETA: He's also spent his entire coaching career in Texas.

Leach....sort of connection.

I don't give a shite where he is from...the kid has a bright future....young, energetic, connections in Texas and south (recruiting).

Time for UK to take a chance on some up and comer who is going to make noise.

That's a huge stretch to say he has connections to Kentucky.

I would say Ok Sts OC is a better HC candidate.

Would take him in a heart beat (as well as the fan base)...I think he is waiting for a better gig. I know for sure (neighbor works for UK Ath Dept) that contact has been made with his people to gauge interest.

Kentucky should be going after someone with HC experience before going after a coordinator anyway. There are very few success stories of guys getting their first HC job in the SEC.

So, Richt, Mullins, Frankilin, and Muschamp are not successful? Come on, if we get that in Lexington, the damn coach would be getting a street named after them. All we are asking is to go to bowl games and be competitive (like Grandpa Brooks).

Really? Have you seen him in the "Blind Side"? WTF was Ole Miss thinking?

Oh, I'll give you Zook....but, once again, NFL.

No 33 year old who has been in coaching for about 3 years is ready to be the main man in the SEC IMO.

Well, according to Matt Jones, Mike Leach controversy in WSU...he will not be considered.

Kind of glad, I think Leach act is getting old...Sorry Belle.

Bho, seems Joe B coming out with support is more telling.

Stay tuned

(still think he is toxic, but if administration thinks this is a good choice, then I am on board the train).
