As many of you may have guessed since I live in AL, I am poor (I also live in a trailer, drive a '92 camaro, and my sister-wife is only 17). So, I caint afford one of them faincy cameras right now. But, I do have a little Sony Flip camera. It's not waterproof or anything cool like that, but what If I make up some kind of redneck mount to put on my head or hat? (Or just duct tape it?) I want to make some falconry videos and my bird is ready to hunt (hopefully) tomorrow. Is there anything special about the gopro's other than supposed ruggedness? What else am I missing?

Not really. Go pro has better video quality than the flip camera and waterproof when in the case. Otherwise, it's just a small video camera, like your flip camera.
