I'm not here to rip him.

With that said, 2011 OBJ was a far more consistent player. I'll even go as far as to say he has regressed this year. I'm hoping something doesn't go wrong everytime the ball comes his way.

My question is: why?

-Is it because he's the #1 WR now as opposed to having RR to line up with in 2011?
-Are the coaches failing to develop him as a true WR?
-Is he just on a slump and needs a couple solid games to regain his confidence?

It is definitely not his heart. OBJ is one of the hardest workers on this team and he is still a phenomenal athlete with a very high ceiling.

I agree. Cannot explain it. Does he feel more pressure this year?

He had 10 games last year with 3 catches or less and averaged 7.6 yards per catch. He had 2 TD's and none after week 5.

What exactly did he excel at last year.

I can't agree with you on this.
Jarvis does what is asked of him and is outstanding with pass blocking. The o-line is hurt so that affects the entire running game. Ware is hurt. Ford and Hillard are just as good if not better. Both fullbacks are amazing. Boone is becoming our redzone target. And of course, Mett wasn't a starter last year so we didn't know what to expect.

Everyone double teamed Reuben and didn't pay much attention to anyone else. This year he's supposed to be "the guy." Big change

ETA: it's not like he was all that productive last year. He had that one amazing catch and run against Kentucky and everyone thought he was a star after that. Obviously he's talented, but he's been horribly inconsistent

pressure to live up to the hype mixed with the extra attention from defenses that he gets

Not fumbling or dropping the ball. Of course more targets means more opportunities to make mistakes, but it's been happening at a ridiculous pace.

He hasn't made a big mistake at all during the last two games. No easy drops and no fumbles.

Hilliard definitely not the same as last year. Seems soft this year and goes down easy.

I don't know why he seemingly regressed and seems to be 4th among the RB at present.

Hilliard is just soft.. Watching the big cat drills in the spring you could see it. He would get beat every time when you just expect him with his big frame to light the defender up.
