If LSU beats Bama, it will be because?

1. Alabama is just not that much better, and Tiger Stadium is the difference in otherwise evenly matched game.
2. Alabama is untested. They'll be shell shocked to look up in the 4th quarter, and find the score close, and won't know how to play in a game like that.
3. Mett finally "gets it", and the offense clicks.
4. Alabama makes mistakes/turns the ball over.
If we beat them, which of the above will be the biggest reason, iyho?
I'm really going w/2.

I think our D is actually a little better than theirs. Only difference is that our offense doesn't help the D much at all. Even when we get turnovers they don't turn them into points that often. The score will be close going into the 4th just because of the defense. The only question is can our offense convert on enough drives to out score them.
With that said.....I'll go with 3. I don't agree with how it was worded though. Passing game just needs to be consistent and we'll be fine.

It will be because the OL gives Mettenberger time in the pocket to let pass plays develop downfield. We don't need to chuck it 50 yards downfield every play to win. But if the OL holds up long enough for Mett to toss a few down the field it will force Bama's back 7 to spread out a little bit which will open up holes for the running game.

This would have to come true for it to happen. Defense is great, but when you cannot score at will against Towsen and Auburn, it will be tough sledding against the Tide. Stranger things have happened though.

In every other thread you have predicted LSU is going to get "steam rolled" and blown out. I don't see why you think one defensive or ST TD would save the day here.
