went to buy some George Strait presale tickets (tickets go on sale tomorrow). The best available seats were in the upper level of NO Arena. when the tickets go on sale to the general public tomorrow, will better seats be released? or have the various presales (fan club, AMEX, etc) already bought up the good seats?

There will still be some good ones available. They might be hard to pull so I would be sitting in front of the computer when they go on sale.

Ticketmaster is associated with Stub Hub or other ticket broker companies.

So why would ticketmaster sell them at regular price when they can say those seats are gone and have "a stub hub" sell them for triple the price.

The concert ticket business or sports business is the biggest scam out there.

There were several lower level & floor seats in the presale this morning.

Some will likely be available in public sale also.

You do realize that stub hub is just the middle man for individuals selling their tickets to other individuals, right? I don't think that info is correct.

Bee, I worked for a large music venue for a few years, there is usually a good block set aside for the fan club presale, the Amex presale, and sometimes the radio stations. Sometimes a small block is set aside for casino high rollers. The artist also gets a block of good seats. Then it goes onsale to the public, sometimes with only about 4000-6000 tickets are left by the time all those presales and blocks are sold. The artist will release any seats they don't need a day or two before the concert. Also, if they think they can sell some more tickets, the production may push the stage back and sell some more seats on the left and right sides of the stage. That won't happen until the week of the show though.

Yeah this is the best info. I go to a lot of concerts and this is what I've learned over the years. Unfortunately today I was at my computer and tried to buy tickets at exactly 10am and all I could get were the 300 sections. I'm pretty spoiled to lower 100's but hey at least I'm going.
