Josh Dworaczyk to be a captain this weekend

Just heard from a family friend that JD was named a captain for the Texas A&M game. What a great way for the team and staff to show their appreciation for his performance Saturday night.
In other news, Maximus is cutting his wrists.
ETA: All joking aside, I am really proud of the young man. Sometimes he has to go up against guys that are more talented than him, and there is nothing he can do about it except play his best and execute. Saturday night he did that well for the most part.
I don't envy being an offensive lineman, especially a tackle. You will run 60+ plays a game, and you can do your job well on 57 of those 60 plays, but if the other three result in sacks, the entire fanbase flips out. Much like children, o-lineman are to be seen and not heard. No news is good news, etc. Meanwhile, a DE can take off 75% of the plays and still have a huge impact in the game. Nevermind the fact that you are the most prone to injury.
It is not an easy job and I tip my hat to anyone who is doing it and giving their all.

Just keep giving him help from the backfield and he'll be okay. He's still not the most talented out there but he gave great effort last weekend and with help mostly from the RBs and Copeland help Clowney in check for no sacks and a couple passes batted down.

Can we have someone forge one?

You're right. Look, a bunch of guys parade around on the Rant and ridicule JD and other LSU players as if they don't give enough effort or they aren't trying out there, and that is simply not the case.
It is one think to say that JD is not as talented as some of the DEs he faces, but it is quite another when people begin to say "he sucks". He is doing the best he can with what hes got. Sometimes the coaches don't put him in a position to succeed and sometimes he fails to execute, but it is never for a lack of effort, and that is all we can really ask of a bunch of 18-23 year olds.
