With some TAMU fans, and one thing that came up was something about the new SEC contracts and they said we may have to play in college station next year too, I can't bring myself to believe this, any truth here?

This year's schedule will be a one time deal. I would imagine A&M will be doubling up their road trip to either Ole Miss or Miss State and Bama will be losing a return trip from a divisional opponent in order to balance the conference by getting each team at 3 divisional home and away games per year.

There will also be some tinkering with the non-divisional games as some teams playing away this year might lose their return trip or have it delayed by as much as 7 years.

It is possible, but certainly hasn't been announced yet. The schedules will change next year if they change some of the permanent opponents. It has been discussed that Ark. will pick up Mo. and A&M will get USCe. Missouri had to play at A&M 3 years in a row. Two years ago as part of the Big 12, then last year they had to repeat the trip because the loss of Nebraska and Colorado altered the conference schedules, and then this year as part of the SEC.

It's possible, but nothing official. We are rumored to play them on Thanksgiving day as well.

There is probably going to be some shuffling around of schedules. I think they are trying to get aTm/LSU on Thanksgiving now or on that Friday when we usually play Arky.

All rumors at this point tho.

Just let him know how grateful you are to have found one of the 11 people in Texas that speak English.

It is possible.

When we dropped Kentucky as our 2nd permanent east rival in football, we ended up having to go to Lexington 2 years in a row.

2001 and 2002.

All dependent on what the new schedule formats look like next year.

Different situation. A&M is in the same division of the SEC

It's possible. I think I remember Slive saying this was a temporary schedule. I also think we will replace ark with a&m the day after thanksgiving.

I honestly think playing TAMU for Thanksgiving or day after would make for a great rivalry game and would not mind the back to back games in CS

A&m vs lsu and ark vs mo makes way to much sense not to play on rivalry weekend.

It's possible, Alabama played at Vandy two straight years back in the mid-90s. Not exactly the same thing as LSU going to A&M two straight years would be, but sometimes stuff like that happens when schedules are getting shuffled. This year's schedule was a one time thing.

It's quite possible.

In '92 when the conference last expanded, Alabama had to play 2 years in a row at Tiger Stadium.

Of course they were in the middle of a 30 year win streak.

When they changed the format from 5-2-1 to 5-1-2 in 2002, LSU had to play @ Kentucky in 2001 and 2002.

However, expect much consternation from LSU fans as they misunderstand what is happening and blame it on some sort of Alabama conspiracy.
