Tharold as a goal line WR

we at least see that the coaches would like a bigger guy to catch fades, let's get someone out there with the agility to really be a problem (ie slants, fade stop/ back shoulder stuff). might make for some interesting decoy looks as well.

Simon doesn't have the best hands

How about just running some goal line plays t get Clement open?

Tharold "Brick Hands" Simon?
ETA: Tharold reminds me of Kristen Wiig on SNL's "The Lawrence Welk Show" when it comes to his hands. Google it.

Probably referring to the 5 dropped INTs last year

because that wouldn't obvious.
A decoy on a goal line fade? Whether he would be out there or not, there would be a CB lined up on him

I think Miles had the right idea with the fade to jacobs..it was just a terrible throw

he has the worsts hands I've ever seen on a DB. he batted that final passs up in the air last night and we are lucky that it was Loston there to catch it and not a SC WR

Mett has to learn how to throw a catchable fade first

Agreed. Jacobs can be a very dynamic TE for us.

Perhaps we could get the tuba player from the basketball team for goal line plays.

I thought Mett threw a good fade to Landry but he seemed to loose his footwork when going for the ball. It looked like it was going to be 6pts but the two of them were kinda out of sync.
Play calling has indeed improved. Our execution is still lacking in the red zone. This team would be undefeated if we had better red zone offense and defense. This is the area we need to be working on.

Bingo.
This is what I think of every time I see Tharold trying to catch a ball

There is so much wrong with our red zone offense, it's difficult to know where to start..
1 Play selection has just been awful;
2.We never seem to have a real scheme to create mismatches, use misdirection, use multiple formation or otherwise create risk to which the defense must respond.
3. Instead we use power looks , with power plays and we face nine man fronts. This will not work in the SEC.

I have no problem with them using Jacobs as they did. They need to do it more. Mett simply has no touch on lob passes. We had 2 plays that weren't TD's because Mett overthrew lobs.

A playaction bootleg to the TE is a great play in the red zobe but Mett is just so damn slow..how would y'all feel about bolden getting some snaps in the redzone for a play like this?

not sure what to make of Bolden at this point, or Randall for that matter.
