or down, am I justified in crushing the eardrums of the people in front of me in trying to make noise?

BTW I've been doing for at least 30 years. I'm just wondering what y'all thought.

More noise the better. If someone tells you to be quite at a game...well...they need to gtfo.

Acceptable, IMO.

When it can be masked by surrounding noise, in situations like this, it shouldn't bother anyone. One of my friend's dad is the loudest whistler I have ever heard.. he would do that shite during our games in HS and you could pick it out on the field (and usually you don't hear distinct noises when you are playing).

Whistling is more piercing than a yell. I want you to keep it up. If you think you are hurting the ears of those right near ya, bring some ear plugs for everybody. You could make it a funny tradition, preparing everybody and hand them out before you blast it.

I use my two little fingers and just the right amount of moisture and I can whistle as loud as I can possibly force air through the gap between my toungue, teeth and fingers.

It absolutely crushes the people in front of me. I try to direct the sound up and out but I still see those in front crumpling from the sound.

Sometimes I feel bad about it but most of the time I have a really good buzz so my inhibitions are not so strong.

I hate it when people are too loud at an LSU game. It's like, what's their problem??

Good suggestion. I shoulda' done that a long time ago. A lot of the people sitting around me have been there almost as long as I have. I'm sure that they think I'm "that a-hole".

Ya, I'd wait for the really big downs and just yell out, "Ear Plug Time" or whatever, then toss ear plugs all around you.

We have a guy near us at Saints games who throws out Juicy Fruit. Makes it fun.
