It looked like he just got his cleat caught up in the dirt. I tore an acl fielding a bunt when cleat got caught up in grass and the field didn't give but the ACL sure did.

I actually figured it was his achilles tendon so a fractured ankle is good news from a rehab standpoint.

When in saw it live I thought he was just embarrassed or disappointed and that's why he didn't get up, but in the replay you could see the pain on his face and he immediately looked at his leg.

This sucks. But he's still gonna be the Captain in the clubhouse and Ichiro will lead off now.

I absolutely hate the Yankees, but if you hate Jeter you hate baseball. The dude was having a phenomenal postseason, this sucks for him and sucks for baseball.

Even if you don't like baseball it's hard to not like or respect Jeter. Dude is an all around class act.

I really hate hearing he's injured.

I HATE the Yankees... but there's 1 thing I know... and that Jeter's there at SS making big plays or getting big hits for NYY. sucks that he's hurt but I am certainly still cheering for the Tigers to win this series

If it's only an ankle, I will be shocked. It loomed like his leg separated at the knee cap. I watched the replay 20 times on DVR. Terrible injury. Jeter may he done forever. It looked like a Theisman injury. Hate to see a legend go out like that.

+1. Jeter is one of the great ones. A complete class act and a throwback player to baseballs golden years.

Incredible season he had this year.
