The product on the field matters 100x more than a few boos. If fans are booing, any recruit worth having already knows something terrible is happening on the field.

No, it's called poor sportsmanship and a lack of college football smarts to boo a team who has gone 18-2, 10-1 for the fans in their last 20 games.

Fans that boo are really just mad at themselves. Their lives are miserable and they want to make others miserable. These "so called fans" would NEVER get in one of these boys faces and boo at them. It is negative attention seeking, because they have never had any positive attention. They were never good enough to play college football or any other sport.

Everyone around them should just turn around and point at them when they boo! Give them the attention they so rightly deserve.

Sorry it took so long to respond. Mouton scared me so much I had to suck my thumb in a corner. After that I had to change my tampon. Actually,Mouton, you come across as the Internet tough guy with nothing to back it up. You started the personal attacks because, like some politicians, you have no legit argument. My point all along is that we should not be satisfied with the shitty O and that no one should tell another how to express themselves. You may not like booing. Others may.

I definitely agree that booing our football team is a shitty thing to do.

Don't give that bs about "I'm booing the coaches". It's as thin as piss on a board. This is our football team. They are cheered, and booed, together, at all times.

They have been exceedingly successful over the past 10+ years. They do not deserve boos. They deserve cheers, at all times.

Remember in 03 when Georgia threw that long arse screen pass, and the stadium, instead of getting quite, GOT LOUDER?

That's what a home field advantage should sound like.

There's an underlying fallacy in your reasoning, Jack.

You think that Mile doesn't know what he is doing, and doesn't realize that the offense has underperformed, and therefore needs idiot fans to alert him to that fact.

Or, you think that Miles prefers status quo to actually winning.

One does not get to be a collegiate head football coach by accident. Miles is aware of what is going on around him, and though he approaches his job differently than most head coaches, surely you can not argue with the results he has posted through the years.

Trust that Miles and the players are going to do their best, and cheer for the team. Be on our side, not the side of destruction and selfishness and egotism.

Miles knows.

Maybe we should have Dr. Phil speak to the team from this point forward and address their feelings. Perhaps that will get through to them better than the coaches are right now.

Give it a rest, man. It's a free country and people can boo if they want to. If these top recruits are in the stadium and they can't handle the crowd then maybe they aren't top recruits. They will get lots of boos as they play on the road on the SEC.

By the way, it won't be the boos that drive them off, it will be the quality of offensieve play on the field and the future of doing that for 3-4 years that does way more damage than a few boos. There might be a few boos from the crowd from time to time but I don't see the whole stadium booing the team.

Some of you guys kill me; it's not the coaches fault, it's not the players fault, it's just bad execution and not being prepared. Nothing to do with either coaches or players, right?

I want LSU to come out fired up and take care of business but I REFUSE to accept just being a good team. If we accept 2-3 losses every year that is exactly what we will get. This game is huge as I believe it will set the tone for the rest of the year and possibly the next 2-3 years. If LSU can't get out of their current rut we will be back to 80s football.

All that being said, my LSU flag is already flying here in MO, my wife, my daughter and I will wear our jerseys for the game, #1, #7 and #8 respectively.

I really don't understand why you are always posting on this board.

Thanks Phil. Finally a rational argument. I want the team to win. I think the only limiting factor for the Tigers is the sub-par offense that we have seen for years. I don't think it impossible for a team to have a great D and a great O at the same time. From my perspective, Miles appears not to be pursuing offensive excellence in the same manner as he pursued defensive excellence. I don't know how to fix the problems on O. I admit that. Unfortunately, by continuing to do the same things year after year, I fear Les does not either.

You got that right!

It's amazing how brave we become in a crowd or when hiding our ID behind a screen name on a forum.

I (finally) learned a couple of years ago that while the wins usually don't come in the manner we expect, they consistently continue to come. Miles uses a different approach, but that approach works, so until it consistently does not work, I feel my job as a fan is to support the team.

Of course, that means from my couch in North Texas. But if I were at the game...

His offensive approach hasn't worked for years so that's one thing. The fact that his teams can never seem to bury much inferior teams is the second thing. And the fact that his teams never seem very prepared is the third. All that is reason to boo, now, I'm not going to boo but this year's output is unacceptable for LSU.

And one more thing, he's NEVER changed his his approach, it's always been the same and it doesn't really work. I hate to say it but Bama's offense is a great offense. They have a very balanced approach to it and are and this might be the biggest thing, DISCIPLINED. They don't have costly penalties that ruin drives like we do.

Our offense is so damn undisciplined it's unbearable to watch sometimes. We have got to control the game clock today and not kill ourselves on the offensive side of the ball.

You've been booing the team for years, then? Clearly, your efforts have really helped improve the offense.
