I lost my mom about 6 years ago. Although she was highly educated, she grew up dirt poor, and knew how to cook the game I killed. If I killed a mess of squirrels, she'd even make me seperate the young ones from the old ones, as it made a difference in how she'd prepare them. So my question is this......

If you walked into your house, threw a mess of 8 squirrels in the sink (cleaned of course), and told you wife "the sack that's got 5 in it are all young squirrels, and the sack that's got 3 in it had nuts on them the size of a boar hog", would she?

1. Vomit?
2. Start frying the young ones?
3. Start cutting the musk out of their arm/leg pits (mom used to do that), then ask you if you wanted her to fry the young ones tonight, or make squirrel and dumplings with old ones tomorrow, or something along those lines?
4. Look at you like you'd lost your fool mind?
5. Kick you out of your own house?

I'm just curious about the reaction of the OB ladies out there.

Mine rolled over one with her car right in front of the house once.

I walked out to the street, saw that the head had been crushed.

So I grabbed it, showed her how they're skinned, then seared it on the grill. I made her try it.

She liked it. But she hasn't rolled over anymore since.

Because she knows I do that kind of cooking. She don't eat them either but I love some fresh squirrels.

After she cleaned them she would ask how I wanted them cooked.

Yes, or I belt her one across the face.

J/K, this ain't the 50's pal. Cook your own.

Cides, best cooks in the world are men.

I mostly kill cat squirrels but when I would kill fox squirrels I'd separate them. Much tougher and have to cook longer.

If I'd kill real young cat squirrels I'd southern fry them.

Sorry for your loss.
Now to answer your questions.
Mom is still alive & can cook the shite out of some squirrels. The wife can cook them to but as long as mom is around that's where the squirrels go

Mine would vomit, curse me out, attempt to make me clorox the sink. Seriously, she'd have to checked into ER for trauma.

My mom on the other hand would scold me for being lazy and not cleaning the heads for the brains.

She loves when I cook anything I kill, but she only touches the deer ground. I have duck breast wrapped in bacon, jalapeño, and creme cheese in the oven right now. Just sent her a pic because she's at a concert, and she said, "you better have left overs!" her dad never hunted, so when we were dating and she saw me cleaning anything for the first time she would almost puke. Now, after hangin with my momma, she's getting pretty good at cooking it
