Mick Jagger is a huge fan, Kiedis is a huge fan, Jimmy Page has mentioned them a few times. Those are some pretty awesome musicians, that i have a ton of respect for, but i cannot undertand the hype these guys have. I dont get it. Maybe I've just listened to the wrong songs.

So what are their best songs?

I like the Foo Fighters, I really do, but being the best rock band by default for a decade plus, and some say the only real rock band for a decade plus, will go a long way to boosting a reputation.

I mostly just have random singles. I don't listen to a lot of modern rock anyway, much more of a classic rock guy. I'll list some songs for you though.

Best Of You
My Hero
Learn To Fly
Walking After You
Skin and Bones
Walk
Rope
Miracle
The Pretender
Razor

Their first album is the shite. The Colour and the Shape is pretty solid. Wasting Light is fantastic. I like the In Your Honor album album a lot too because half of its rock and the other half is acoustic.

The entire first album was great. Even more so when you understand that Grohl made it by himself. He was the band at the time. The first 3 albums were great. Since then I've lost my love. They really are the only 90s band out there still going strong with the same sound though. I like them I just don't buy the albums anymore.

Pop in Color and the Shape. And enjoy. Stop listening to the "hits." Those are some of my least favorite foo songs.

The first CD of In Your Honor is amazing, too.

all went downhill after the raygun and colour and the shape...don't get me wrong there were some good songs along the way but their last few albums have all been very blah to me.
