Bought a boat several months ago that happened to have a hand operated motor guide on it.

I didn't hate it, but really wanted to give a foot operated one a shot. It's not a big boat... 17' xpress, so I really didn't want a big foot control on the deck.

So I bought a 55# wireless controlled motor guide today, 12v. Comes with a relatively low profile, wireless foot control. Has an available handheld remote also... extra dollars, that I don't really see a need for...

Got it mounted today, hope to fish for some bass or crapolait soon. Will report back.

I like how the ripples at the end imitate the spanking sounds of the video...

Cabella's don't sell freshwater wireless trolling motors, but they got some killer walleye gear.

I've had the Motorguide SW75 wireless for 5 years now. Hated he wireless foot control and bought the remote with retractable lanyard. Love it. Just connect the lanyard to shirt pocket and its always right there. No looking to make sure you're pressing the right button.

I hope you have enough power. I was tired of getting kicked around in decent wind with a 55, upgraded to MK Maxx 74lb, 17 ft aluminum skeeter FWIW. By the end of the day on my 55 running at around 50%, my battery was all but drained. With the 24v system I can fish for 2 whole days in the wind and still have some juice left, typically run on 30-40%. If you don't fish in the wind a lot then you should be good though, good luck.
