This all boils down to the Saints not stopping the "bounty" program when the league told them to; that's it.

For whatever reason the Saints brass decided to basically tell the league to 'frick off and mind your own business'

And so here we are.

Allegedly. Goodell has lied about so much, i have no idea who to believe anymore.

No, it doesn't. Cerullo went to the league and sold them a story about Vilma laying down cash to take players out. They start asking questions. If they were asked if they had a bounty program, of course they're gonna say no, because pay for performance isn't a bounty program.

This is all about the league taking the word of a ex-employee and running with it. Now he looks like an idiot when the two sworn testimonies backing up his case against the players contradict each other. This is gonna get ugly in court, and I hope he loses his damn job and pays out the nose either in a ruling or a settlement.

I hope Ginsberg goes to Goodell's jugular rapidly.

Today's episode accomplished absolutely nothing. It's the same old dog and pony show.

I imagine that his suspension will end. But, i don't know if any team will hire him. And if they do, i cant imagine any player ever trusting him again.
His behavior has essentially made him, at best, a horrible hire that won't last long.

Shouldn't someone have a perjury charge headed their way? Sworn oaths to state two opposite things. Who is it Gregg Williams or the 9 including Vitt?

Ratting on the inner workings of the lockerroom is a pretty big no no among players, I can't imagine any guys willing to play for him.

Yeah he's done. Maybe Fisher keeps him on in a consultant position because they're friends but that's about it.

He made a statement under oath and his arse will go to jail if he is shown to have lied. I hope Vilma takes it to court since he has also made a sworn statement that contradicts Cerullo's.

Unless that statement is suppose to be used in court and he knew it was, I'm pretty sure he's not under penalty of perjury.

Not sure either. I still think the bulk of the blame lies in the Saints' lap since they could have stopped this before it got to this point.

Stopped what? Despite the NFL claiming it happened over 3 years they still haven't come close to producing any evidence for any game after the NFC Championship. What happened to the Saints having a bounty on Cam Newton and Aaron Rodgers last year, notice they don't talk about that anymore?

Is the man truly that ignorant about the sport he's commissioner of, or is he just that good of a politician?

I'm really beginning to think it's the former

Damn dude. This shite's not that hard. Stop pretending that the Saints are totally innocent in this whole shite storm. Yes Goodell is a piece of shite, but he didn't just pull all of this out of his arse.

I said shite three times...make that four.

No, Curello told him. Very damning by itself.

Oh yeah what happened to the BOMBSHELL ledger?

I'm sure there is substance to some things but for some reason the NFL keeps having rock solid evidence that they never mention again.

The Saints should have stopped what they were accused of doing, regardless of whether they did it in the first place or not.
