No school Fri. Looking for something relatively nice and memorable, but something a kids palate can handle/ enjoy, and not a Friday very wet lunch scene. Not too picky an eater ps.

Herbsaint? Atchafalaya? Boucherie?

Commander's would be really nice. It doesn't get wild even with the 25 cent martinis. I think it would be a very nice and memorable experience for her, and at lunch it won't break the bank.
Dad daughter lunches for me at that age consisted of sitting in McDonald's instead of hitting the drive through.

I only went to Mangham if my dad had to go on business and the trip involved a snickers and a coke icee.

i guess Winnsboro had the only one in that area? When did you move to or from the Mecca?

I took my 8 y/o granddaughter to Commander's last year. Old Victorian gingerbread mansion looked like a magic palace to her, she loved it. I got dressed up in a suit and she wore a nice dress, I don't even remember what we ordered, but I think she will never forget the special day.

I second Commander's. If she's never been there, it will be a monumental memory of a special lunch with Dad. Andouille's experience is a good example. You can give her some of the history behind the place while you're dining. Make the reservation and tell them it's a special daughter daddy lunch. They might do somethng cool for that. Maybe balloons on her chair or her name on dessert. You could ask about something like that.
