Supposed to make a trip to catahoula and up to beuff (spelling) this season. Farthest north I've ever slung steel.

Is it really "the promised land," like so many believe?

It's pretty solid IMO, but I am somewhat bias.

Yea ours is in a rice pond but around the area there are a lot of cattails and some palmettos around so it should blend in

Unfortunately its not a sunken blind so we do the best we can but honestly we usually kill a decent amount each year

I hunt wilkinson county and lasalle/catahoula parish mainly but I also kill ducks in west felciana and east baton rouge.

Always use myrtle, pine. Thinking of using some bamboo this year though if the lake fills up in time.

For woodducks? Any other birds? A good friend hunts the river but only bags woodies.

I have places to hunt them though.

I kill other birds. Everything down here depends on water. I do have a spot where I promise you have no seen more wood ducks in your life. River is right we kill mallards,teal, and gadwall.
