Last time I was at Auburn and walking around campus, found a corndog tree.

Some Aubie had hung corndogs on a tree

Can we get a sticky for the corndog origins?

Would keep this topic from popping up everytime we play someone or a new poster joins.

it is pretty funny when you consider the kind of food LSU fans usually bring to tailgates (gumbo, jambalaya, boudin balls) compared to, say, Nebraska. (brats, corndogs)

this is basically why I've always thought it was fricking retarded. We're pretty much the last fanbase in the country that would associate with the actual ingestion of corndogs.

All the nasty grease gets into the corn meal or whatever they're wrapped in . Tried one once many years ago, too much good food around to eat that swill.

I was having lunch a few years back with a friend who went to Ole Miss and he began to rib me about being a corn-dog lovin' Tiger. I looked at him blankly--I had no clue what he was talking about. It was so stupid I didn't even protest his kidding me. Really deflated him. He had to stop and explain it, and I thought, "typical Auburn idiocy."

Tiger fans provide some of the best food in the world at their tailgates. Corndogs aren't even on the radar.
