Some UGA friends of mine are loving the play BoBo stole from LSU's playbook....the toss to the RB instead of handing off.
This article mentions it as well as Murray in the pistol formation...
AJC
What types of play(s) would you all want to see LSU adopt from other teams?

So many people bitched about this play last year.

I liked some of those power plays Stanford was running last night. They were handing it off to a TE, but I don't think we'd need to do that.
Two TE, Copeland and Freak as upbacks, and hand it off to Hilliard.
ETA: When I say handing it off to a TE, I mean they had a TE/FB lined up as the RB.

RB Screens, Wheel routs, bombs away, Crossing routs in the middle of the field, Fake to RB and pass to Fullback in the flat, misdirection runs

Me too. Have they even thrown once beyond the LOS?

Whichever play results in the WR catching the ball and securing possession.
I heard Richt on the radio here talking about it a few weeks ago. Said he liked the way LSU used the toss and they were going to implement it in to their style

I would love to see LSU adopt Army's offense...the one that has produced only 17 pass attempts ALL SEASON.....just to piss everyone off.

What are the advantages of the toss versus the traditional hand-off?

Screen to the RB. I've given up hope though.

RB has an extra second or two to see the blocks develop.

jump pass in the end zone.
any play that works in the red zone.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't remember seeing misdirection runs being used hardly at all. Seems like it would be a good way to add variety to the running game while still controlling possession.

Are you kidding? What about the play where Ford goes left but the line and Mett all go right and then he keeps it for like a 4 yard gain. That's misdirection like a mofo.
