Can we fix the passing by making Boone and Landry our Primary Receivers?

Both of them have been solid so far, but it seems like our offense highlights OBJ... at least early in the game. They seem ready and he may be just feeling the pressure of being the #1 receiver so early in his career.

I would like to see Shepard keep getting some throws as well.

the first part is just. but then you threw in the bit about Shepard.

What has he done that merits more touches than OBJ?

I hesitated to throw that in.

I just would like to see him get a few throws a game in the passing game in addition to one or two running plays. Not moving him ahead of OBJ yet. Don't want him to disappear.

Funny how some fans are already giving up on OBJ, who is a natural, and others still want more THROWS to RS, who, aftrer four years, isn't. ..

Odell is on another level that the rest so he MUST be the primary receiver. Shep couldn't catch an STD in a Kenyan whorehouse so bubble screens and draws are about all I'd risk with him.

We fix the passing by running effectively early against an above average defense. Our failure to establish the run on early downs, whether because of OL sloppiness or too many 1st down pass calls left us in too many "obvious" passing situations. It is, to some extent about O line performance and to some extent about game planning for the offense.

I am amazed at the fact that A. Williams can't get on the field. We could really use his siz. What in the hell is the problem with him?

As for the rest of the guys, I like Wright and Boone also. Rotate the slot guys and maybe even 4 receiver sets from time to time since Clement can't seem to stay set.

massive understatement.

it matters little what order or sequence the plays are called if the oline is doing its' job. it really is that simple. we can blather all we want about Mett..the receivers..our stable..etc., but if the oline is consistantly getting beat then nothing is going to work and our d will pay the price. we need stud back on the field coaching up the oline. JMHO.

So, what you're saying is Landry and Boone are more ready and won't feel the pressure like the sophomore, I repeat sophomore, Beckham?

I agree, why can't Williams find a way onto the field????

His size alone would make him a great fit for the redzone. I mean, how in the hell can someone of his stature not beat out the other guys???

He CAN find his way onto the field, nowadays with realtive ease and no help from others.
However, they won't permit him to play because others are much better.
