Breaking Bad: 4th Time's a.....

....Slightly Better Experience.
Please tell me this show gets better. I mean it has interesting parts, and a few interesting characters (read: Walter Jr.), but it moves SOOOOO SLOW. And it's not interesting enough to move that slow. The characters aren't that great.
Although I have made it 8 episodes past where I did the first few times. At this rate, I'll start and stop the show somewhere around 10 times before I can finish. I'm close to giving up again, but S2 Episode Down was finally something interesting with Walt and Jessie both losing quite a bit.
But I still don't see the brilliance just yet.

seriously, I was hooked after the first episode. If you're in season 2 and can't see the brilliance, maybe the show isn't for you. For me it was a great ride, the 2 weeks I spent watching the show from ep 1 to season 5, ep 8

That's part of the problem with watching a TV show back to back to back. It is a fairly slow developing show, but the characters are, in fact, great, and only get better as the show explores their depths.
But you are right. The first few episodes are not the most thrilling thing ever put on television. If you don't like it through Season 2, (a) I don't know what's wrong with you, and (b) give up and write it off as a show you just don't get... Kinda like I am with the Walking Dead.

Nah just stop now. If you don't like it by now you never will

I wasn't trolling, but damn, BB fans are just asking for it.

Kind of an unnecessary attack on Freauxzen. Different strokes for different folks.

I will say, the change, plus the little scenes for what will obviously be the climax of the season, has me intrigued. I'll make it through Season 2 at least to find out what happens there.

Bc watching a show about a guy with cancer slinging Meth makes you WAAAYYYY more intelligent than the average tv watcher
That being said I like Breaking Bad (~1/2 through it) and I've never seen Honey Boo Boo

The show is excellent, imo, for a few different reasons.
1. The writing. VG and his team are so good and churning out episode after episode of intense, high drama stories that keep me wanting more.
2. The acting/characters. Each character, save for Walt Jr, breakfast champion of the world, is complex, significantly flawed and goes through changes from season 1 to season 5. Their respective evolutions are a thing of beauty
3. Cinematography. The shots, cuts, and overall presentation of the episodes is top notch imo.
ETA: and some of the best characters are yet to come for you

As excellent as every season of Breaking Bad is, to me personally the best episodes are those first four of Season 1 dealing with Krazy-8.
Now, the drama does pick up as does the action (especially when Tuco and then later on Gus arrives) but if you don't like it after the Krazy 8 beginning you aren't going to like it.

Except, at this point, he's the only sympathetic character on the show, and that has nothing to do with his disability actually. And the only one to see through all of the BS.

I wouldn't say that at all. I enjoyed the first season, but not anywhere close to as much as I enjoyed the following ones. Each season has gotten better over the last, with the exception of 4 equaling 5 pretty much. I could easily see someone being meh after watching the first season. But if he doesn't like it by the end of the second season, he's not going to.

Honestly though, I'm expecting brilliance around every corner. I mean it was good tv, not riveting TV though. Tuco was more entertaining and intense than 8.
