So; Spencer Ware is our 4th best running back?

I love me some Spencer Ware. The dude runs as hard as anybody in football and I personally think he could possibly become a pretty good NFL running back. BUT. We are loaded as everybody already knows, and i'd be hard pressed to take him over Hilliard, Ford or Blue. I think Jeremy Hill could be crazy good but he has 10 career carries so i'll reserve judgement in comparing him vs the other four.
2011
Michael Ford: 127 carries, 756 yards, 6.0 average
Spencer Ware: 177 carries, 707 yards, 4.0 average
Alfred Blue: 78 carries, 539 yards, 6.9 average
Kenny Hilliard: 62 carries, 336 yards, 5.4 average
2012
Kenny Hilliard: 37 carries, 303 yards, 8.2 average
Alfred Blue: 40 carries, 270 yards, 6.8 average
Michael Ford: 19 carries, 107 yards, 5.6 average
Spencer Ware: 8 carries, 38 yards, 4.8 average
So what happened in the offseason? What you would consider the depth chart to be from 2011 to 2012 has flipped. I mean Blue is a beast but im surprised to see him getting that many more carries than Ford and Ware. Hell Copeland has almost as many carries as Ware. Are Ford and Ware in the doghouse or something? Do Blue and Hilliard work that much harder in practice?
If I had to choose one id probably take Ford in a top 4 LSU RB draft.
Just surprised how the carries have been dispersed this year. What say you?

Ware has been battling a bad thigh...should see more action this week.

Wasn't the off season. Ware started losing carries as Blue merged, and Hilliard developed last year.
That being said he looked good against Wash

Spencer ware tired out last year towards the end so they ate keeping his workload light early on.

Ware has been with injury. Other then that Blue and Hilliard are just animals..I'd give them the ball every chance I could.

Hypothetically if I'm drafting a college football team. My LSU big board would be
Hilliard
Ford
Blue
Ware
Kenny on the nod of Ford because of his pass blocking. Ford over Blue because of his big play tendency. Blue over Ware because he's more of a complete back and Ware tends to dive when he face's 1st contact. Watch Hilliard when he goes into a contact situation, he goes low but keeps leverage and explodes into the defender. Ware goes low but NEVER keeps leverage and when he explodes he's usually stumbling because of the lack of balance due to no leverage.
Personally I love our RB situation right now. I would love to see Ford used a little more in the 4th though, but that's just nit picking.

Yeah I mean its hard to complain given how ridiculous our running game has been. I agree with you about Ware and his leverage. He is just looking to devour someone. That hit he layed on the washington dude was awesome. But yeah, id like my boy biceps to get more carries.

Need to move Ware to TE and maybe we'd actually see some results from that position for a change.
