When on their schedule will the team(s) you feel are overrated or despise lose?

So far so good this year. Boise State, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Arkansas are out of the picture. Only a few more yearly overrated teams to go.

Here are a couple teams I can't for the life of me get the hype behind them year in and year out, but specifically this year:

=================================================
Florida State
A top 5 ranking in most polls and many analysts talking about them playing the for National Championship. Based upon what exactly?

Recruiting rankings? Soft ACC schedule? Because it certainly isn't because they or their coach have been there before.

Schedule
Sat, Sept 1 vs Murray State W69-3
Sat, Sept 8 vs Savannah State W55-0
Sat, Sept 15 vs Wake Forest 12:00 PM ET
Sat, Sept 22 vs #11 Clemson 8:00 PM ET
Sat, Sept 29 @ South Florida TBD
Sat, Oct 6 @ North Carolina State TBD
Sat, Oct 13 vs Boston College TBD
Sat, Oct 20 @ Miami (FL) TBD
Sat, Oct 27 vs Duke TBD
Thu, Nov 8 @#13 Virginia Tech 7:30 PM ET
Sat, Nov 17 @Maryland TBD
Sat, Nov 24 vs #18 Florida TBD

Hopefully Clemson destroys their dreams and shuts up the media hype for FSU. Other possiblie candidates to do the job: NC, VaTech, and Florida.

No way they make it thru that 4 unscathed. Only a matter of time before everyone forgets about Jimbo and boys. They'll get blown out by some team that doesn't have nearly the talent and their season will go to shite from there.

Different year, same story for FSU.

==================================================
Notre Dame

Sigh. A last second win over Purdue and now 2-0 this season and you can't watch ESPN or go to ESPN's website without hearing talk about this finally being their rise to prominance with BCS aspirations. Are you fricking kidding me? What a joke.

When will NBC dump this shite show and let ND die a slow painful death into mediocracy as they should?

Schedule:
Sat, Sept 1 vs Navy* W50-10 1-0
Sat, Sept 8 vs Purdue W20-17 2-0
Sat, Sept 15 @ #10 Michigan State 8:00 PM ET
Sat, Sept 22 vs #17 Michigan 7:30 PM ET NBC
Sat, Oct 6 vs Miami (FL) 7:30 PM ET NBC
Sat, Oct 13 vs #21 Stanford 3:30 PM ET NBC
Sat, Oct 20 vs #25 Brigham Young 3:30 PM ET NBC
Sat, Oct 27 @ #5 Oklahoma TBD
Sat, Nov 3 vs Pittsburgh 3:30 PM ET NBC
Sat, Nov 10 @ Boston College TBD
Sat, Nov 17 vs Wake Forest 3:30 PM ET NBC
Sat, Nov 24 @ #2 USC TBD

I see them losing the next 2 and being 2-2. And then everyone outside of South Bend will no longer give a frick about ND for this season.

==================================================
USC(W)

I could copy and paste from my thoughts on FSU.

#1 ranking? WOW.

Again, based upon what? Recruiting rankings, soft schedule, or really and truly because they are in ESPN's backyard?

We get it, you can score 45 points a game and Matt Barkly can throw for 4-5 TD's with 300+ yards. He has a plethora of offensive talent surrounding him.

One tiny lil problem? Defense. You have none. This is really a stereos-typical BIG12 team. Great QB, high scoring offense, has no idea how to play defense.

LOL. If Syracuse played Bama and/or LSU 10 times, how many times would they drop nearly 30 points. Not a fricking single time.

Also, let's not forget Lane Kiffin is the coach. He's bound to frick up somewhere.

Schedule:
Sat, Sept 1 vs Hawaii W49-10 1-0 (0-0)
Sat, Sept 8 vs Syracuse* W42-29 2-0 (0-0)
Sat, Sept 15 @ #21 Stanford 7:30 PM ET FOX
Sat, Sept 22 vs California 6:00 PM ET
Thu, Oct 4 @ Utah 9:00 PM ET
Sat, Oct 13 @ Washington TBD
Sat, Oct 20 vs Colorado TBD
Sat, Oct 27 @ #24 Arizona TBD
Sat, Nov 3 vs #4 Oregon TBD
Sat, Nov 10 vs Arizona State TBD
Sat, Nov 17 @ #22 UCLA TBD
Sat, Nov 24 vs #20 Notre Dame TBD

Honestly, as much as I despise the 24/7 USC ESPN coverage, I hope they win every game. Crown them the greatest football team ever assembled. Then send them to face LSU or Alabama and get their shite shoved in.

=================================================
Oklahoma

The hype for them has quieted down a bit after they struggled to score against UTEP, but if you look at their schedule it won't be long before all you hear is how Oklahoma is the dark horse to win the National Championship.

I think we've all heard that story before. Therefore I'm not wasting much time on this. Bob Stoops still the coach? Ohh that's right, he is.

Schedule:
Sat, Sept 1 @UTEP W24-7 1-0 (0-0)
Sat, Sept 8 vsFlorida A&M W69-13 2-0 (0-0)
Sat, Sept 22 vs#15 Kansas State 7:50 PM ET
Sat, Oct 6 @ Texas Tech TBD
Sat, Oct 13 vs #14 Texas* TBD
Sat, Oct 20 vs Kansas TBD
Sat, Oct 27 vs #20 Notre Dame TBD
Sat, Nov 3 @ Iowa State TBD
Sat, Nov 10 vs Baylor TBD
Sat, Nov 17 @ #9 West Virginia TBD
Sat, Nov 24 vs Oklahoma State TBD
Sat, Dec 1 @ #16 TCU TBD

Honestly, on a talent standpoint, there's no way Oklahoma should lose a game on that schedule. But if they do, I'd put my money on it being @ West Virginia.

Sigh....maybe Oklahoma is a darkhorse in the NC race, IF, 2 out of 3 in USC, Bama, and LSU have a loss.

=================================================

Texas

Maybe this is just a me thing, living here in Texas, I've grown to hate them.

How in the frick have they snuck up the polls to #14?

OHHHH, I guess it's the juggernauts they've faced on that schedule of theirs. Wyoming and New Mexico. I like ULM to come out this the same record against those two programs.

I've put them here in this list, well, just because they are Texas and yearly overrated and talked about. But look at their next 4 games.

@ Ole Miss
@ Oklahoma State
vs West Virginia
vs Oklahoma

We will very quickly find out if the Longhorns are still shite. At best they are going 2-2 in that stretch.

Sat, Sept 1 vs Wyoming W37-17 1-0 (0-0)
Sat, Sept 8 vs New Mexico W45-0 2-0 (0-0)
Sat, Sept 15 @ Ole Miss 9:15 PM ET
Sat, Sept 29 @ Oklahoma State TBD
Sat, Oct 6 vs# 9 West Virginia TBD
Sat, Oct 13 vs #5 Oklahoma* TBD
Sat, Oct 20 vs Baylor TBD
Sat, Oct 27 @ Kansas TBD
Sat, Nov 3 @ Texas Tech TBD
Sat, Nov 10 vs Iowa State TBD
Thu, Nov 22 vs #16 TCU 7:30 PM ET
Sat, Dec 1 @ #15 Kansas State

You can paint another two possible losses with TCU and Kansas State.

Yeh, no worries here. Longhorns suck again.

USC but unfortunately their schedule is a joke until they play Oregon. until then, they'll win by just talent discrepancies alone. it doesn't matter who the coach is.

USCs defense is a major weak link and Oregon will expose any defensive weaknesses. Oregon has given up points because their starters haven't played much past halftime yet.

I know I said before that I didn't think Oregon could beat them on the road but after what I've seen, I dont see any reason why they can't.

As far as talent discrepancies go, I don't think there are any. If anything, outside of Barkley, woods and lee, Oregon is more talented than USC. Boyett going down will hurt a little but I'm sure they can plug someone in. I honestly think Oregon will win a national championship led by Mariota at some point...his composure is unbelievable for a freshman.

agreed..

Sat, Sept 1 vs Ohio L24-14 0-1 (0-0)
Sat, Sept 8 @ Virginia L17-16 0-2 (0-0)
Sat, Sept 15 vs Navy 3:30 PM ET
Sat, Sept 22 vs Temple 3:30 PM ET
Sat, Sept 29 @ Illinois TBD
Sat, Oct 6 vs Northwestern 12:00 PM ET
Sat, Oct 20 @ Iowa 8:00 PM ET
Sat, Oct 27 vs #12 Ohio State 6:00 PM ET
Sat, Nov 3 @ Purdue TBD
Sat, Nov 10 @ Nebraska TBD
Sat, Nov 17 vs Indiana TBD
Sat, Nov 24 vs Wisconsin TBD

Their schedule is only warming up too. If they lose to Temple, well....they may only have 2-3 games left this season they even have a shot at winning.

FSU and UT both lose this weekend. UGA when they go down to Jacksonville in late October.

Edit: UT as in Tennessee.

UT, USC(East), Georgia, Mizzou, and was hoping for a AtM arse-whooping. that didn't happen tho

Damn, you sure do hate a lot of teams. Might want to look into some therapy for that.

And OU gets absolutely crushed at West Virginia but unfortunately remains unbeaten before then.

i don't hate all those teams, i'm just listing some commonly despised programs. i'm not exactly reaching.

....guys, if there's not one team out there you don't some what route to lose every year, i'd suggest you find new hobbies.

try hackysack, saving the whales, looking for that perfect pair of skinny jeans, treehugging, scientology, being a lady gaga traveling groupie.

wait wait, you two have teams that have already lost, right?
