I didn't think Cee-Lo could be any freakier than on those scenes where he's petting his unblinking cat.

Clearly I was wrong.

Pretty solid opening.

The talent is much better so far than it was last year, so that's good and gives me hope for the rest of the blind auditions.

Shocked that Christina waited a whole 2 or 3 performers before she couldn't help herself anymore and attention whored herself and walked onstage. fricking count. And she did it again later. And someone needs to explain to her that cleavage is a good thing, but only when your tits actually look like tits...hers seem to have gotten even weirder looking in the offseason.

Also couldn't believe that she actually praised the chick who sang her song. I wasn't expecting that...but I think she basically turned around because she had a feeling the chick was cute (she made a "YESSS" gesture once she turned).

The dude from last year (Daniel Rosa?) sucked I thought, but they seemed to like him. Whatever.

That last dude was fricking 18? Looked like he was at least 25. Damn.

Can't get enough of Cee Lo and the pink parrot. That shite was cracking me up.

And frick Carson Daly as much as ever. I wish he wasn't in the rooms with the families...they are genuinely excited jumping around and shite, and he's just doing it because they are. And pretending to be upset when people don't make it. It's all bullshite..just let the talent and their families have their moment and back the frick away, Carson.

I wonder how long before Xtina becomes a mega bitch to one of the contestants?

I thought Daniel Rosa did a good job, muuuuuuch better than last year. I was impressed that the coaches all remembered him (you could tell by their expressions when they turned around), even if they didn't remember his name (which is understandable).

Xtina doesn't seem to realize that saggy boobs aren't in high demand outside of National Geographic pictorals. Expect her to hit Bitch Mode shortly after they auditions (was shocked she didn't get all Exorcist-chicky when Tony Lucca's name was mentioned).

Why the bleeding shite didn't the black chick sing that Marley song acapella? She completely owned it when she did. Is there some rule on The Voice that says someone can't audition acapella? I've always thought someone just coming out and belting something without musical accompaniment would really be attention-getting.

Overall the talent was indeed much better than last season. Looking forward to seeing how this season works out.

I thought the same shite last night. I was waiting for her to drop some sort of douche comment about Lucca or he and Adam's relationship from last season, but she didn't.

And I don't think there's a rule on music. I want to say people have sang acapella on the show before, but I'm drawing a blank on who would've done it though.

Also, Rosa did better than last year, but I still thought he sucked. I just don't think he was good, and the way he was singing just sounded weird (and bad weird, not good weird).

Also, forgot to mention earlier, but I did really like the first dude (foreign rocker dude), as well as the gay black chick. Thought they were both solid.

I just didn't feel any emotion from the rocker. He did extremely well, technically, but there didn't seem to be feeling to it. I was surprised when that anyone turned their chair.

Goofy black chick didn't imrpess me at all. Her voice, while on pitch, seemed to be all over the place in a really poor version of Xtina's vocal gymnastics. During the early part of the performance either her timing seemed to be off or something really odd was going on in that her singing didn't seem to match what the band was playing.

I'm interested to see what Bitchtina does with the girl that came out singing her song (which was very impressive) as well as how well Old-Young Black Guy and Indie-Rock dude do.

Thank God they seem to have gone away from the American Idol thing of putting shite talent out there (like the goofy blonde guy last season or that crazy model chick... sheesh!). Yeah, yeah... it's just the first episode but I'm an optimist :p

Yeah. Some of the people though, I'm not sure why they chose the songs they did. Like that chick you mention...that Christina song isn't exactly a song that showcases how good your voice is. I guess maybe she chose it because it is a technically hard song to sing maybe, and to showcase her overall talent..?

I really liked that first guy, the Scottish NOLA guy

I saw him at the House of Blues a couple of months ago. He was doing an acoustic set w/ another guy. We all talked about how good he was....super cool seeing him on the show last night. I'll definitely be pulling for him!

No doubt. Raelynn was just terrible. I have no idea how she made it as far as she did. She was nails on a chalk board bad.

I'm a country fan. I want to hear her sing something more main stream before we start talking record deals.

Which is why I would be hesitant to choose Blake if it came down to it. As much as I like Blake and he seems like a cool arse dude, he sometimes makes just weird picks and advances people who suck for seemingly no reason.

I think if all 4 turned around, I'd go with Adam/Blake, then Christina, then Cee Lo.

Although with Adam, he seems to pick a favorite in his mind, and then advances them almost no matter what (see: Tony Lucca). So I'd prolly choose Adam and then try my best to be his BFF so he kept advancing me and cared more about me than the others.
