Any romantic bars in BR? (especially with a view)

I'm looking for somewhere nice to go and have a cocktail on Friday night.

It doesn't have to be super fancy. And if it is in a restaurant or hotel, that is ok too.

I was hoping the L Auberge would have a rooftop bar to take advantage of the river, but it does not appear that it does.

Any other ideas?

Ahhh yes, what can be more romantic than parking on the levee with a 6 pack?

I'm an older guy, but I could buy into that one.

Romance is about a special time with a special person; not about candlelight and flowers imo.

I think the weather will be a bit suspect for that. Either too muggy or too wet.

Sounds like Tsunami is the place! (Sadly it sounds like it might be the only place).

Is there a need for a reservation just to have drinks there?

FIFY

And it's not really romantic at all.

In what sense?

Might depend on the definition.

I missed a couple of recommendations in posts above I will look into.

I looked at the website. I can't believe you'd try to trick me like that.

Fred's sounds good though. I like places where every guy in the place has a ball cap on (backwards of course).

Romantic "bar" with a view is tough to find in the area.
Capital City Grill downtown has the bar seating that has window seating to provide people watching.

Satterfields on False River is pretty nice in the evenings on a cooler night(food is blah), but not really a place you want to drink and drive from with no cab option. About 30 minute drive.

My advice, which is kind of a big deal.
Gino's bar for Jazz night. Not romantic, but usually pretty good music and entertaining in an upscale environment. Might want to reserve a table in the bar though. Probably won't be able to walk in and get one.

Bring singles to tip...the band.

Do you know what night this is?

Also, what type of jazz is it?

Thursday nights. Usually it's just a piano player. But Luther usually draws a crowd if he is playing.

The two wine bars in Perkins Rowe aren't bad. Wine Loft and Bin 77 or whatever.
