Can we move on to what happens next?
I think Hank doesn't have his "sitdown" with Walt until later.
He leaves, not letting Walt know he knows but one thing he does before confronting Walt - just like the book, this has been hanging in the balance - Hank somehow will hook up with this person or this guy will reappear as a thorn in Walt's side because:
TED IS NOT DEAD!

Hank sits back, tails Walt, and Walt ends up giving more info. I still think that Skyler will be the one who busts the case wide open.

I agree on the tail and I think Hank should be able to see something, but Walt is supposed to be "out" so unless he dabbles back in somehow, or gets seen at the money storage shed, ect...
Appears to me about 1/2 a year or more has now expired since the birthday scene earlier in the season as we head toward the flash-forward bacon scene with the false ID, sack-o-gun...
What you think: How much time has elapsed in this season? How close are we to the flash-forward?
A lot of time expired in "Crystal Blue Persuasion" (Tommy James = great artist) portion alone in this episode. Then, we're set at the pool at the last scene and apparently much more time has elapsed...

I'm out either means he is not cooking anymore, or he is out of the 1,000 gallons of methylamine. Could be toying with Skyler.
Also, he still has the cyanide capsule, he put it back in the outlet cover. Should come in handy during the last 8 shows.

I can't get Crystal Blue Persuasion out of my damn head. It played every hour on some stations when it was released, I think in the early 70's, maybe 68 or 69.

I get how reading that inscrpition could make Hank go "hmmm" but its by no means proof. In real life Hank would probably just chalk it up to a coincidence and an impossibility and move on. What am i missing?

I disagree. Haven't you noticed how increasingly suspicious of Walt Hank has become this season? New vehicle and a few other things. Walt and Skylar having issues and sending their kids away. Then he sees WW referenced in the same way gale referenced WW in his journal earlier.
ETA: just watched again. GB was written in the book. Hank knows everything now
Hank might not be 100% certain at this point, but if he follows Walt around for even a day, it would confirm his suspicions.

Why would Walt have a gift from Gale when Walt told Hank he did not know him? It's like the Fredo Corelone/Johnny Olla thing. Then there were the inscriptions relating to "W.W." in Gale's notes. Hank's mind is going back to season one with the stolen lab equipment from Walt's high school; he is going to put things together sooner rather than later. Regardless, I would imagine the Walt Whitman book is inadmissable in court, etc.

Walt is an ex-Chemistry teacher (exactly the mold they were looking for) who quit his job and suddenly started playing Blackjack and made hundreds of thousands of dollars. Extremely fishy

Hank has the list of everyone involved. He knows lydia, mike, jesse are out free, but he has no connections yet. mike dies in the same week that everyone else on the list dies. all except for lydia. dea will come after her hard. jesse is still the only random a-hole tied with the meth, but not part of gustavos list.
if walt was serious about being free of the meth, then there will be no evidence to show. no shipments through lydia, no methylamine traceable to cook the meth.
so the only ways walt could be found is through saul, lydia, jesse, skyler, and todd. skyler is going to cover for walt as she thinks he is free and he controls the money. jesse wont give him up unless he loses the money. lydia wont give him up because she has a legit business to operate. so it leaves todd as the main suspect on who gives up heisenberg. the two easiest ways for him to get caught by the dea is to get caught moving the methylamine, or to process the cook incorrectly and have a house blow smoke, or burn down. the most logical way he gets caught is by trying to pass off lower grade meth as heisenbergs product by the drug dealers. this would be the worst situation as there is no escaping the dealers.

I believe the writers will dispose of hank quickly in the next 8.
Hank confronts walt but suppresses the info from law enforcement. Walt will unneccesarily kill hank thus losing his family for good. Walt goes into hiding, leaving jessie forced to cook.
The climax of this show has to get back to walt and jessie.
I think jessie kills walt at the end.

The car and Mike's body were taken care of. DEA will most likely think Mike pulled off the killings and disappeared.
