Both lakes in our subdivision are connected by a tiny pipe, about 1-2 feet across, and one lake drains a lot faster than the other.

So after a storm etc one is 4-5 feet higher and creates a huge flow into the other lake, I've had some success fishing where it's draining into the low one, but what baits/methods would you reccomend for that? I know they're going crazy for it, just need the perfect bait

Grub/jig style does well as do crankbaits.

Also I've had a lot of success with brown and orange H&H spinners. And of course brushogs / speed craws

If its a strong current I would throw a heavy jig.

Even if that's what I wanted, it's grated on the near side, but the holes are big enough for large shad to fit through still.
