Hugo ... I think I might be in agreement of the Varys warg idea. He may hate magic but that doesn't mean he has to refrain from utilizing it. Will elaborate when I have more evidence.

Can we discuss that the show introduced the fact that he had a fricking wizard locked in a chest? I don't know that they did that for absolutely no reason.

Just to give viewers a little more perspective on what Varys is capable of doing IMO.

The same story about the wizard is in the books, but Varys bringing him to King's Landing and locking him in a trunk was only in the show. I loved it. It was unnecessary, but awesome.

Yeah, at the very least, it showed Varys as a patient agent.

KG, do you mind sending to me as well? I got the audiobook on Overdrive, but I would really rather have it on PDF, I prefer reading it to listening to bad voices. The Dunk and Egg stories were easy to find out there in PDF, but didn't have any such luck with TP&TQ.
ccothern@hire1099.com. Also, whoever is keeping up with the meeting in May, please add me to the list.

Exactly. The story was almost verbatim from the book, but Varys having the wizard in a box was a nice touch.

Do we see anything with the hostages taken at the red wedding? Or those few that escaped? I wonder what role they'll play in WoW

Lots. If you haven't read the Grand (or Great) Northern Conspiracy GNC
This is one of my favorite theories; I won't even call it "crackpot", most agree that it's legit (for the most part).
Lots on the Blackfish as well.
