It's basically the story of Davos. First is him delivering the onions, second is him being knighted and his fingers being sliced off, third is Blackwater, 4th is Manderly's sending Davos on his mission, and 5th is arriving in Skagos.

I've finally bitten the bullet and started reading the Wheels of Time series. My hope is by the time I finish, Winds will be out.

Deadwood's use of iambic pentameter was far more difficult to understand, but enjoyable as hell. The assistance of closed captioning was immeasurable.

Nailed it. Also, I love that picture because it is reminiscent of those banners that Jamie mentions depicting the Targaryen conquest that were in the basement of Lancel's old castle.

Isn't Wheel of Time like 14 books??

That is coming up on my list. I'm doing the reread that combines AFfC and ADwD right now. Next is the new Stormlight Archive book that comes out at the start of March. I would highly recommend the first book of that series. Wheel of Time is going to be a pretty daunting task.

2 more theories regarding the location of Dark Sister,
1) it's in Melissa Blackwood's statue in Raventree Hall
Or
2) it was given to Sheira Seastar by Bloodraven before he was arrested.

On my daily rewatch of the trailer I just noticed that the dragon shadow in the opening scene is flying of Kings landing. I always assumed it was mereen without thinking. Why would the dragon be in KL.

To frick with the hodors. Perhaps it's a dream that Dany or Bran has.

After season three ended, I had to know what happened so I picked up book one and didn't stop until I finished DwD. Now just patiently waiting for WoW. Can't imagine what people who started the books from the beginning had to go through waiting for each book to come out. Oh well, season four will kill sometime before the next book comes out.
I was a Season 1 and Season 2 Hodor. Didn't get into the books until right before S3 last year.

Well its tricking with me too. The show being a little different throws me off ill probably start a reread after this season just to get things straight

So I will probably have a few months to spare haha. I read the first four GoT books in 3-4 weeks. I thought the 6 months I waited for Dance was brutal, Winds is pure agony.

It's actually not that bad. I powered through the entire series in 2 or 3 months.

When do you think TWoW will come out?

I'm with you on the Dec 14/Jan 15 release. But I would dare to call us both optimists
He's being really secretive about his progress. I think if he were really behind, we would have heard rumblings.
My crackpot fear is that he has zero clue how to get from where he is to the ending he wants. In this nightmare, he is either writing all of these other stories with hopes it loosens this knot, or he dies and the task falls on someone else's shoulders.

He has been very secretive and it's concerning lol. I'm convinced that it's going to take 3 more books to end the series instead of 2. I think the most optimistic would be December 2014/January 2015 (basically 1 year from now). But I don't think it'll be out later than 2 years from now. I think he probably has around 75% of it completed if I had to guess.
Were there a lot of rumblings from 2005-2011 about his lack of progress?

Also, this is a great interview. Jack Gleeson (Joffrey) is very intelligent.

Hard to tell. That is what I would go with.
