Pretty sure Illyrio has most of them stashed away in his shed out back.
Obviously Lightbringer needs to make an appearance.
Blackfyre, Dawn, and Dark Sister would be cool to see as well.

But I'm finally starting my re-read of them all. Read the Prologue and the 1st chapter last night of Book 1. Borrowed it from the library again, so I'll try to knock it out in 3 weeks.

so anybody got anything good to talk about regarding the sand snakes. havent done a reread but i really have no clue about that story line as the new characters just never stuck.

the swords are symbol of the prestige of certain houses. in that sense, they have been used. especially Ice signifying the destruction and separation of the Starks.

yea all i could keep up with was Arianne. I guess she is on her way to Aegon. just dont know what the other 8 Sands are doing and if the naked septa connects in anyway

I was thinking more of the two Targaryen swords. If they're not going to turn up, why mention them?

Wait. The Iron Throne was created with the swords of the defeated during Aegon's Conquest. Since the armies of the 7 kingdoms were armed prior to Aegon's Landing, don't see how very few if any of them could be V Steel, but iron and castle forged steel at best...unless I missed something. Weren't most of the existing VS swords brought to Wesos by Aegon and his host? Given to the greater Houses as reward for fealty?

At any rate, I was implying the hidden VS swords were placed into the throne after (long after) the throne was created. Disguised as just another iron sword- but not welded in place (although it may appear so- purposefully)

Ice, the Valyrian steel sword of house Stark was in Westeros long before Aegon conquered. One could reasonably conclude other noble houses had similar swords.
Yeah, hiding the priceless swords in plain sight unattached and loose in the iron throne makes perfect sense.

Yep. There was trade between the Free Cities of the East and Westeros long before Aegon showed up.
