Any Houston area soccer figs have any recommendations for hotels near BBVA Compass Stadium ? Suggestions are appreciated.

Have you been to a dynamo game? I've gotten all my friends to watch soccer, most of them you wouldn't expect to be fans, getting the group together for this is the next logical step, either this or usmnt. I want usmnt more but fact of the matter is they play less games.

I'm going with Baer's foot Friday. I went watch the US play at Relian stadium last year.

Pissed I will be out of town for this game. Hard to believe the Dynamo will be in first with a win Friday.

It's right in downtown basically. You could stay at any downtown hotel and make a short walk. Other than that, I don't know of a specific one that's better/cheaper than others

My only suggestion would be to not stay too close to the stadium. Downtown is nicer the closer you are to I10. If you want a good nightlife, stay close to midtown and drive a little further to the game (not much further really).

Yes. The Astros lots north of the stadium have tons of tailgating. It's starts as soon as the lot open (which is somewhere around 4 I believe)

Are you looking for cheap? Or nice?

Only place I've stayed anywhere the stadium was The Inn at the Ballpark. I'm sure it's not cheap, I was put up there for an interview.

Go to the newest Little Woodrows or to Lucky's Pub. Both of them are really close to the stadium.

If this goes well, I may become a Dynamo fan. We'll see. I need an MLS team

It's a very nice bar. I sometimes go there before an Astros game. But that's mainly to wait for friends, not so much for tailgating.

From what I hear, this for tailgating.

We're going with a bunch of parents and kids from my son's high school team. I think LHSAA has some kind of promotion with the Dynamo for this one so you're liable to see a ton of us La. people.

We're staying at the Hilton Americas but haven't stayed there before (almost never go to Houston) so I can't offer you any advice on it. I know from reading the reviews that the parking is like $19 there.
