a new feature on ncaa 13 this year is "playstyle" for recruiting.

the game takes your aggregate stats on the year, compares it to other teams, then gives you a letter grade based on results. You can use this playstyle pitch for recruits.

you can view this results under "Recruiting - my school"

i love this feature. id like to see how i compare to others.

this is with LSU on all american
QB Passing fluctuates from C to A (my best offensive stat)
HB Rushing sits around D (i cant run)
WR C
TE C
run block OL - D-
Pass Block OL - C

defensively...
#1 rushing defence but due to minimal stats, all my DE ratings and DT ratings are like C or D

BUT i make up for it in the back 7. LSU is really DBU for me...
SS, CB, FS Coverage, Hard Hitter, balance = A+
MLB hard hitter and coverage = A+
OLB coverage = A+

i usually run a 3-3-5 or 3-4.

Anyone have an A or better in rushing, or defensive line play?

frick no. I can't even ball with monte ball (swidt?). And he was heisman hopeful/one of the better backs in the game. Whatever happened to running for 300+ yards a game?

Haven't played yet, but it sounds awesome.

I feel something like this was needed years ago. Much more realistic, IMO. Rushing schools recruit RBs easier; passing schools recruit WRs and QBs easier, DBU recruits DBs easier; etc.

my senior version of michael ford has evolved into a 97 overall with 99 ACC

finally found some success running. the recruits have noticed, too.

altho with him and ware leaving this year.. that leaves me with Blue and Magee, which are decent backs, but against SEC defences , you need frickin stars.

freshman RBs dont fare too well, i tend to redshirt and sit em, then hope they mature into 90+ overalls before even inserting them on 3rd down

maybe... its under "recruiting - My School" in the ncaa menues.

navigate to "playstyle" and then browse each category. shows your stat, letter grade, etc.

im gonna have a hard time landing 5* Pass rushing DTs due to poor performance (no stats), but should be a breeze landing OOS 5* cornerbacks now.

I rushed for 200+ with ware the first game, 187 the second, and 150 the third. My passing is average. I did throw 3 int's vs. idaho, but i still ended up with 2 td's and 220 yards.

My defense is lights out though.

I like to recruit pass rushing DE's, run stopping DT's and MLB's, and coverage OLB's, with coverage CB's and balanced DB's. I usually recruit 5* or gem 4* at these positions and my defense stays at a solid A. I don't know to get up to that A+ defense.

This. My big gain play is always out of shotgun which I try 1-2 times every drive. If I don't see the CBs back-up and Safety setup in cover 3 right at the beginning of the play, I'm throwing to my wide-out running a post route.

Air Raid. No huddle potential, audibles are easy. Can run the same concepts/plays from a plethora of different formations. It can be used to play conservative with the short routes (unders and mesh), or can strike quickly with verticles and deep post routes against Cover 2.

It's also good for learning to read defenses.
