Most anticipated QB....

at LSU. Mett has to be on the list. Is he higher than Booty in the hype department....he better be better than the Boot!

Jamarcus was pretty hyped, I remember when he first came to LSU everyone wanted to see him play so bad.

I'm sure most will not agree, but that is because booty was here in the early internet years. The hype about him was unreal.

You have to remember that when Booty was coming out of high school, he was right up there with Manning as far as hype. When he left baseball to come to LSU, people just assumed he was going to be a heisman front runner right away. That's just the way the LSU football fan mind works.

the anticipation for Booty was pretty high. personally, I was pretty pumped about Ro getting the job to himself in 01 after some of his 00 heroics.

Booty and it's not close in my mind. Fans expected Booty to single-handedly put LSU back on the map. Jamarcus and Perrilloux were post 2003 NC so we were already a top team.

Mett is in my opinion not high up on the list of most hyped QB's. Booty got a crap load more hype than any QB at LSU that I can remember.
Mett in my mind is the most hyped. Meaning I think he is going to be an all american.
But I don't think he is getting all that much hype considering how good I think he is. All I ever hear is "he is unproven", never taken a meaningful snap in division 1 or SEC, and "all he has to do is be a little bit better than JJ."

I should have clarified...most hyped in LA...Booty was hyped nationally...Mett not so much

My quotes clarification.
I (myself) am hyping the frick out of Mett. I think he will be an all american. But just because I think he will be superman doesn't mean he is getting hype elsewhere.
The media and the fans here do not give Mett. as much hype as booty or others in recent years.
