Anyone been having any luck? I'm thinking about trying tomorrow around VIcksburg. Any advice would be appreciated. I figured it would be good since the river was so low.

I, for one, would never juggle a catfish. Especially not 3 catfish

I've been using dead shrimp off the bank and catching nice blues. If you mean jugging, not juggling, then I would say just stick to rod and reel unless you feel like chasing jugs around that current all day.

Jugging, not juggling. I can't even juggle three tennis balls. No way I would attempt to juggle a catfish.

River is below 5' @ Vicksburg. Shouldn't have to deal with much current.

we run traps in the river and jug lined a few times. i would suggest using fresh shad you caught. if not, catch some bream and bait it with them.

i have found that since the river is low it might be hard to catch. we try to hit it on a good fall.

Yeah, that is THE way to do it. I decided today, after an experiment on the Mississippi River yesterday, that I was going more to jugs.

Here's the twist. Tie them to a 3 hook drop line with a weight on the bottom. Get in behind a pile of rocks or any place on the edge of where the current breaks. Drop and go.

We caught on the two jug lines like this last night. I would've never thought to set a line in one place (couldn't really) because it was such a sandy bank.

Bream or carp, preferably. If not, like MSandLa said, shad.

Paint your jugs flourescent orange, they'll stand out like a beacon.
