I own all the dubbed versions. I wanted to rewatch cell subbed.
I'm watching the episode right now when Tien sacrifices himself to get 18 a chance to run. And Piccolo is already dead.
It pisses me off thinking about how this saga ends. They should've stuck with Gohan as the main badass after this and elevated another character to give the show depth. I know we just had this conversation, but at least in the cell saga before he becomes perfect, all the characters are still relevant and able to fight.

Should I rewatch the Kai dub over the original dub?

Most definitely. The dub was much, MUCH better than Z. FUNimation was actually faithful to the original script. It also cuts out a lot of the needless filler.
Edit: The problem with watching Kai dubbed online is that most sites have the edited version that was on Nickelodeon.

That would be awesome. I'm watching the unedited Kai dub by the way. I will say while I like the faster pace, some of the inner monologue filler added depth to characters.
