This board saved me a little bit of time and trouble. Had Direct TV scheduled for install tomorrow and just cancelled until next week to see how this plays out. Kind of ridiculous when I think about it. I don't want the service if I do not have the channels, but I rarely watch the Viacom channels so why do I pay for them. Maybe now is the time to consider dropping the whole cable satellite deal.

Trust me, when I heard it was Viacom, I knew it was without question their fault. They're the biggest whores and censors in the industry. A 20 second clip on YouTube they lose their shite, since they think that you should have to pay for something or sit through tons of comercials every time you see it. They're run by douchebags.

Jokes on me! I just canceled dish because f no fox29 in my area. Tired of antenna watching the saints. Installed directv last Wednesday... now no comedy central...unreal. nickjr my little girl enjoyed. MTV is no loss.

It's harder for me to get credits since I have everyone possible pretty much. I have a $372 credit on my account.

Well my contract is up in August so I used that as leverage and told them I was shopping around for better deals. I also told them I didn't want to upgrade packages since I am happy with what I have and don't want to pay for more channels I won't watch. That's when I told her the only real thing I would be interested in adding is Sunday Ticket. She came back with the discounts and free Sunday Ticket. So I said sounds like a deal and got it done.

Nice, that makes more sense as to why you got a huge discount. I love dtv and love the game of messing with them even more.
