Anyone done this before? Making kabobs and put a few on a couple of skewers. First time cooking scallops.

This sounds interesting. I would have thought that scallops would not have been a good choice for the grill.

Do you do it with the big ones or the cheap tiny frozen ones?
What do you season with?

TIA

Bought big, good ones from the seafood counter. Just melted butter, lemon juice, salt
And pepper.

Dry them off really well before putting them on the grill or they won't brown.

I blacken mine on the grill. I throw my cast iron skillet on the grill and let it heat up 'til it's almost white. I put a little olive oil and blackening seasoning on the scallps. Then I sear the scallops for just a minute on each side. I then remove the scallops and finish them in the oven with a little garlic butter.

What's the point of the grill if they're going from cast iron to oven?

My only constant advice on scallops - no matter what method, do not overlook. Sounds like a hot minute on each side, then a trip to the oven sounds a bit over for me.

...if you do skewer them, make scallop only skewers because the veggies will take longer.

One of the easiest things to grill. I like to wrap and skewer a slice of bacon around the big ones ... Instead of kabobs.

I've grilled them quite often. With bacon and without. You can't go wrong however you choose.
