If DS is your correct location, ASI is probably your best bet if the house is somewhat new and you have above decent credit.

I had a fire claim with ASI a couple years ago, almost a total loss, and they were wonderful to work with. Very painless.

I carry a flat 10k deductible.

People would be dumb to file a 2k little claim in this insurance market.

I wouldn't file a $2000 claim either, but I'd like to not have to pay the first $10k on my $30,000 roof claim.

Trust me, State Farm is the way to go. If you qualify for them, pay the 100 extra bucks a year and go with them.

Ever claimed anything with them? I'm not a homeowner but will be in a year or so.

I carry USAA for auto insurance.

Also, what's a typical deductible on a house? Example- Most people are auto carry $500 to $1000 most of the time.
