I agree with all of this, and you put it very eloquently. This is why I wish you would post on the board more frequently (along with the likes of crazy4lsu).

So, this is the AMF du jour...

Henrikh Mkhitaryan

We are being linked and he apparently wants to come here... just signed with Raiola, who is apparently a FoLFC

21 goals in 22 league games for Shakthar... we discussed him last year a good bit

Thanks TFTC for returning the thread back to normalcy.

I am tired with the Suarez hoopla. Let's get back to football shall we. I don't care how many games are left. Let's let Sturridge know he's leading the line until Suarez is back. Let's hammer the barcodes with a rugby score and let's get on a run.

On Mkhitaryan. I'm not a big fan. I have only watched him in a couple of European games and some compilations. Really doesn't look that good. But if we did get him I'd be glad to be proven wrong.

I'm actually excited for Newcastle. Nothing to play for and we can see what this squad is without Suarez. Should be interesting.

Yeah man, same here. It's been a very... interesting season. To me, though, in football, as long as a match is being played there is always something to play for. Four matches remain. That's 12 potential points. One of which is against Everton next week at Anfield. And they close their season at Stamford Bridge. Who is to say we absolutely cannot pass them on the table? For me, the season is not over until May 19 at approximately noon, US central time.

Same with me. I just like watching the team play as much as possible. Newcastle will be fun to watch.

It's time to let the Suarez incident go. Whatever happens, happens. Sucks that our best player is a fricking idiot, but I would rather have him for half the season than for none of the season.

Still think next summer is more important. IMO in this window these positions 10% need to be addressed:

-Young, promising CB to complement Agger

-Convince Carragher to stay another season

-Experienced holding mid/defensive mid

So...assuming Carra sticks to his guns and retires... who is the new vice captain?

Did this hurt Suarez's chances (maybe)? Do they give it to him in an attempt to keep him here (empty gesture)?

My vote is for Reina... He is a proven leader...

Agger or Lucas. Although at this point I'd side with Agger because Lucas can't stop committing to tackles. A reckless tackler is not someone I'd want to be the captain, despite his dedication to training and club.

Kind of like what Arsenal did to RVP before he left ...

My choice would be Agger hands down, and isn't he the Danish captain?
